    About Us

Martinez Béisbol Films is producing, ''The Martinez Brothers: The Untold Baseball Story of Talent, Tragedy, & Legacy,'' a documentary of four brothers who collectively played, coached, and scouted professional baseball starting in 1928 through 2001 in the Dominican Republic with their legacy extending into the Negro Leagues, Major League Baseball, and Latin American leagues (Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Venezuela, and Panama).

Two brothers (Antonio & Aqulies) died in a tragic plane crash that killed the entire Santiago Baseball Club championship team on January 11, 1948, shortly after their defeating the team owned by dictator Rafael Leonidas Trujillo.

The youngest, Julito, served over 50 years to the same team, Las Águilas Cibaeñas, playing, coaching, managing, and scouted for MLB's Pittsburgh Pirates. As a player, he helped his team win their first 25 national championships.

The oldest brother, Horacio ''Rabbit'' Martinez, became a 5X All Star for the New York Cubans (1935-1947), helped his team to the Negro League World Series in 1947, and became a scout for the NY/SFX Giants - opening the original talent pipeline from Dominican Republic into MLB, forever transforming every MLB team till this day.
